Positions: Research staff of the Atomic Energy Commission (Arg) (1979-1983). Undersecretary of State for the area of Science and Technology, (1983-1985); member of the Board of directors of the Atomic Energy Commission (Arg.) (CNEA) (1986-1989); full professor and head of the Center of advanced Studiers of the University of Buenos Aires (1990-2002); advisor to the National Space Agency (Arg.) (1992-1998); head of a PhD program in computer engineering at the Buenos Aires Institute of Technology (2002 until now); Associate Member of the International Centre for Theoretical Physics (Trieste Italy). Is a Member of the National Academy of Sciences (Arg.).
Has been invited professor or researcher at universities of Brazil, Italy, Germany and France.
Research interests: Theoretical low energy nuclear physics; neural networks and complex systems with applications to economics and theoretical biology. About 100 papers published in main stream journals.
