Jorge Armando Tallaj Almánzar is a Chemical Engineer graduated from PUCMM in 1993. He earned his degree of Diplom-Lebensmittelingenieur (master in Food Technology) from the University of Hohenheim in Stuttgart, Germany. In the food industry, Tallaj worked mainly as Production Manager and as a Quality Assurance and research and Development Manager for a total of 5 years. Tallaj has worked is in Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM) from 2000 to 2002, as an adjunct professor, and since January 2003 as a full-time professor, and obtained tenure as Profesor Auxiliar. Tallaj occupied the position of Chair of the Science Department from 2006 to 2015, and is currently Dean of Graduate Studies since October 2015. In addition, in 2013, he drafted, together with external consultants, the curriculum of the bachelor’s degree in nutrition and dietetics; also is working in the curriculum of the degree in Food Science and Technology.
