Food and Nutrition Security for the Americas. Scientists and Experts
This section presents some of the scientists and experts appointed by their Academies of Sciences who will be attending the Workshop to discuss the general content for the Publication “Food Security and Nutrition in the Americas. Challenges and Opportunities for this Century”. Other scientists and people will be added during the process of the Workshop or the Publication.
The workshop and subsequent publication are being supported by a grant to the Leopoldina-German National Academy of Sciences from the German Ministry of Education. The topic of food and nutrition security (FNS) is one of the global challenges for the 21st century, and accordingly, the Global Network of Science Academies (Inter Academy Partnership) has mounted a global assessment through its four regional academy networks (Europe, Africa, Asia and the Americas).
The Mexican Academy of Sciences has very kindly agreed to host the Workshop in Mexico City and the organization is very grateful for their hospitality.
