The IANAS General Assembly took place in Bogotá. The assembly takes place every 3 years. For various reasons, the Colombian Academy of Exact, Physical Sciences y Naturales de Colombia had been designated as host since 2013. The event took place at the Hotel Hilton Bogotá Corferias, and it was scheduled to coincide with the 83rd anniversary of the Academy.
