Hosted by the Academy of Sciences of the Dominican Republic, IANAS The Inter-American Network of Academies of Sciences held its 3rd IANAS Scientific Conference in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, on July 2013, just prior to 4tyh General Assembly (G.A.) of the organization.
The Scientific Conference “Impacts of Climate Change, Disasters and Hazards” brought together IANAS member Academies and representatives invited to discuss this so important subject for the region.
The 3rd General Assembly aimed to appraise the network’s actions in the 2010-2013 triennium, to revise the Statutes and Rules of Procedures, to elect the leadership and Executive Committee of the network for the next three years (2013-2016) and to welcome more Academies and highly regarded scientific organizations as part of our organization.
