The triennial conference of the IAP Science Education Programme was hosted by Morocco’s Hassan II Academy of Sciences and Technology.
Since 2003, the IAP has been dedicated to enhancing science education in primary and secondary schools worldwide through its global Science Education Programme (SEP). The SEP, under the guidance of a Global Council of experts, focuses on advancing inquiry-based science education (IBSE).
On March 16, members of the IAP SEP Global Council convened with invited guests at the headquarters of the Hassan II Academy of Sciences and Technology (H2AST) in Rabat, Morocco. They gathered to deliberate the most recent advancements and achievements in the promotion of IBSE, including the outcomes of numerous small grants issued by IAP to support projects in diverse countries. IANAS was present at this meeting and gave a presentation on the IANAS Science Education Program’s activities and future plans.
Welcoming remarks were delivered by Omar Fassi-Fehri, the Perpetual Secretary of H2AST, and Wafa Skalli, who serves as the Chair of the IAP SEP Global Council and represents H2AST, the principal academy collaborating with the IAP SEP.
