TWAS is inviting nominations for the 2023 Award from all its members as well as science academies, national research councils, universities and scientific institutions in developing and developed countries. This annual award, established in 2020, reflects the long-standing partnership between the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and TWAS. Former TWAS President Professor Bai Chunli played a central role in creating the award, funded by the Chinese technology company Lenovo. Eligible candidates are young scientists (not older than 45 years of age), national of a developing country, who have been living and working in a developing country for a minimum of two years immediately prior to their nomination. In 2023 the award will recognize achievements in mathematics and/or artificial intelligence (AI). Self nominations and nominations from jury members will not be considered.
