In response to the powerful earthquake that struck Colombia on August 10, 2026, the InterAmerican Network of Academies of Sciences (IANAS) sent a message of support to the Academia Colombiana de Ciencias Exactas, Físicas y Naturales (ACCEFYN). In a letter addressed to Prof. Carlos Alberto Vargas, President of ACCEFYN, IANAS Co-Chairs Karen B.
