Virtual event honors the Peruvian Focal Point in the Women for Science Program
On December 10 at 7:00 p.m. (Lima time), the Universidad del Pacífico will host a virtual event honoring the remarkable career and contributions of Ruth Martha Shady Solís, a pioneering figure in Peruvian archaeology and the Focal Point for Peru in the IANAS Women for Science Program.
The tribute, titled “Homenaje al Legado Profesional de Ruth Martha Shady Solís”, will bring together colleagues, students, friends, and family to celebrate her enduring impact on the study of ancient civilizations, particularly through her groundbreaking work at Caral, the oldest known civilization in the Americas.
